Who are we?

The Centre pour la Promotion de la Santé (CPS) is a Congolese NGO founded on 7 September 1966, on the initiative of Jacques Courtejoie. Its main objective is to promote family health using methods that always involve the active participation of local people and their leaders.

New projects

The Centre hosts new projects under the name MAVIMPI, health/well-being in Kyombe (a dialect of the Lower Congo region), initiated by Pierre Winant and joined by Claudine Bultot. The two of them manage all the MAVIMPI activities.These are in line with the fundamental values of humanism that inspired the CPS.

These projects are divided into 5 distinct areas:
• MAVIMPI orthoses
• MAVIMPI medical equipment for Kangu hospital
• MAVIMPI training for nursing care teachers MAVIMPI training courses
•MAVIMPI plastic waste treatment awareness MAVIMPI plastic waste awareness
• MAVIMPI collection and evacuation of floating plastic waste [MAVIMPI collection of plastic waste]

The Centre pour la Promotion de la Santé, which also houses MAVIMPI’s head office, is located in Bas-Congo province, at Kangu in the Mayombe forest region, Bas Fleuve district.
